“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

The OP sounds like one of my former students.

Many students were not taught basic skills of inquiry and learning how to reason for themselves.

They believe it is everyone elses job to 'educate' them, and if they do not understand it must not be their fault, since it is not their job to figure it out.

Then they get upset if they are asked to do any of the work of learning that may require some exertion of effort and possibly a feeling of frustration.

Many times they get upset because they do not know how to follow directions, or think that they have a special exemption from following directions.

In the case of the forums, directions indicate to read the guides first.

My suggestion to the OP would be to follow directions. Then, if you have a question, you get ask away after a good faith effort to do a little work first on your own to understand the process, which is what most of us have done.

That was my impression after the 7th or 8th question pertaining to really the elementary aspects of the K-1 process. In fact, he was provided with the link for the K-1 guides on more than one occassion and I believe he failed to read them for whatever reason. In a manner of 3 hours the OP managed to obtain njunior member status by the sheer number of his questions...

When he was provided with answers he didn't like (ie: income qualifications), the OP chose to ignore those responses and posed the same question in a slightly different manner.

Apparently the OP is indeed contemplating the CR-1 route, because his first post in the CR-1 forum is "how do I file CR-1"... I wonder if those folks will fill out his petition papers for him.

Good luck to the OP.

Great, we will look for him in the CR1 forum!!! Cant Wait

However, to the OP, if the process is not one you are confident in, then by all means, you should seek qualified counsul/lawyer... But do not base decisions of your life on how helpful people on the internet are in various forums!!!

I can't believe that some one would write something like this, Gosh! I found the people here so patient and understanding, any stupid question that I had ask was answered politely, so I don't get what it is exactly your looking for!

There's a simple solution to this.

Just reply to each and every one of his threads with a big ol' :guides: emoticon. And nothing more.

Ya, I'm gonna adopt that stance with him. Good Kookamooga and all the ships at sea.

In other news -

HEY ! If yer a K-1 filer, please, I beg of you -

1. print out the form.

2. print out the instructions

3. get in a comfy chair with a bright lamp

4. read the instructions. fill out as much as you can, that first time.

5. read the instructions again.

6. fill out the form again, circling the things you can't fill out and then

7. please ask your questions here.

Thanks in advance !

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

i don't need help to find his posts.

I utilize the clickie mouse thingie for 'find members posts' and 'find members topics'.

It's Mondo f'ing cool - I like it so much, I even use it on my own user id here - helps me keep track of stuff I posted over 2 weeks ago.

Now, that's a lot, coming from me, as I absolutely HATE to use a Mouse. Kills my typing speed.
