Hey R_nB and rest,

Yea my 2 years are up on March 27th as well. Waiting on couple of affadavits, got one with me already. Now working on putting the documents together. My only real big caveat is that I've lost my green card and unfortunately have no copies of it either.

Anyhow, uscis agent who i spoke with after setting up an infopass appt informed me to file a police report and submit that as an evidence along with the welcome letter and the letter i received my green card with originally, which I happen to have. He did say though that there is a good chance that I will get an interview call due to that fact!...geez, here we go again!

Anyhow, my question to everyone who has filed or in the process of doing so, did you include a copy of both state and fed returns and if so, did you include all tax document, which are lot of forms for me or just a copy of 1040?

2nd question is how do you keep your documents organized? Using binders? just throw em all together? index and list content? staple? clips etc etc? Im not a very organized peson so looking for clues to put it in a nice structured way...lol.. Any ideas?

Hope to file everything in a weeks time.......

You can get official tax transcripts from the IRS if you wish

I would but seems like its kinda late to get the transcript since it takes 10-15 days for them to mail the transcript. It would be too close to my filing deadline. So question again is if anyone has actually filed a copy of their tax return instead of the transcript? and if so, did they include all state and fed forms or just the 1040?

Thanks in advance!

There are a million threads about organizing the packet, the "Search" works well.

This thread is recent and should help: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=243933

In my particular instance, I included both state and federal taxes (not official IRS transcripts, but direct copies that H&R Block filed). Never had an issue from K-1 to AOS.

Thanks elguevon,

I might just do that, i.e., use the copies of my turbotax and submit those. Also, That thread was helpful again. I appreciate taking time to respond and point me in the right direction.

If you need tax transcripts immediately, you can goto your local IRS office and depending on how busy they are you can get it within an hour or two.

Thanks Second stage. I was able to get to an office which was like 5 miles from my house this morning and got my 07 and 08 transcripts within 10 minutes. That was nice! You guys are really resourceful.
