ok so i know that there is a bunch of paperwork i need to get together to send to nvc... but a) i have not got a chance yet to change my passport to my married name yet... but i do plan to have it changed before tthe interview and b) i am still waiting on the rcmp check. i am in the states till the beginning of april. i hAve all the other paperwork, birth certificate, marriage license, custody papers just no police certificate yet. any advice?

got any divorce document? (i assume you are divorced if you have a custody document )

and - is all in English?

sorry i should have explained a tad more i am the ben not the pen. i have never been married before this marriage of course. the custody papers are for my 3 yr old sons cr-2 .

Do you have a notorized letter from his father saying he is fine with you moving him to the US?

Card Production Ordered 12/04/12

Yeah. i made sure to ask about what was needed when i first joined vj. was quite the hassel. as my ex doesnt have anything to do with my son but it falls in my favor as i have taken him to court 6 times now and he has never even bothered to show up. thank you for reminding me about the court order . I need to get it from my lawyer asap. :P
