I have a basic question but haven't been able to find the answer. My husband mailed me the I-130 and G-325A forms signed in blue ink. I found out that they have to be signed in black so we are starting over. I want to avoid the petition getting sent back to me at all costs. My question now is, the size paper he printed the forms out on is not the standard 8.5x11 size paper. It's an odd size. It's longer and more narrow. Will that be a problem with immigration? I guess it's a standard size paper there, but not here. I'm not sure how technical they are about things like that. Thank you:)

The reason I'm asking is because I don't know if he should print out the forms, sign them and mail them to me again, or if I should print them out here, mail them to him and wait for him to sign them and send them back. That sounds like a lot of time, but again, I want to do it right.;)

1. blue ink is ok

2. A4 is ok, US Letter size is fine - actually any size of paper is fine if larger than 8.5" x 11 "

where is 'here'?

where is 'there' ?

who is the USCitizen?

Was yer K-3 ever awarded?

If so - no need to file an I-130.

What's going on?

Blue ink is ok? I thought it had to be in black??

His paper is a little larger, yes A4 or something like that.

You are the USCitizen, then ?

the foreign spouse does not sign the I-130 -

so if you want to redo the I-130, by all means, do it.

Don't worry about A4 size on the G-325A or signed in blue ink. Just send it in, as is.

Good Luck !

Well he needed to sign his name in Arabic on the I-130. Also, he needs to print and sign his name on his G-325. I just don't want it sent back to me. Do you know of anyone that signed theirs in blue and didn't have problems? Thanks for your help.

block 20? that's NOT a signature block, at all.

What I did -

had my wife write her name in chinese characters, but about 2 inches tall/wide.

Then scanned it in.

Then reduced it to 'fit' - printed it out, cut it out, GLUED IT INTO the block 20.

if block F - why bother? you (the USC ) should fill out this @#$@# form, ya?

I did fill out the forms in type but I wanted his signature right in Arabic so I thought it would be better if he writes it.

Block 20 is not a signature block. It is RIGHT for him to WRITE his name in his native language there. Perhaps it resembles a signature, to you?

Which block/page did he sign, for the I-130 ?

No, just writing his name, not a signature. He did sign the G-325 in blue though, which is why we're doing it over. I just wanted to make sure of the ink and paper size.

actually, many ppl will sign the G-325A in blue ink - it shows up as 'original signature', each and every time.

I suggest is no need to 'do it over' because of the 'blue ink'

Bijad's were the same way - I just cut them down to size and attached them with the other papers - and everything was fine. :D

Also - on the form I had Bijad's just type his name in Arabic and I copied and pasted it onto the form. :P Our petition was approved, interview was sucessful and Bijad has his visa in hand.

I just recently received our NOA2, and my wife's G325 was not signed at all. My wife sent me four signed copies of the G325 from Colombia, but I noticed a few typos. My first plan was to send corrected copies to her to be signed, and then sent back to me. After considering the time that would take, my next plan was to neatly correct the mistakes with correcting tape, because these copies were signed already. And then after reading here on VJ, I became aware of an USCIS memo stating the beneficiaries G325, if unsigned, may be signed at the interview. So I rolled the dice and printed out the corrected G325, and included an explanation of why they were unsigned and a reference to the memo that they may be signed at the interview. And I also included one of the signed forms with the typos. Like I said, we just got NOA2, so the gamble paid off. You should be fine with blue ink and slightly different paper size.
