I think he's the most viable candidate the Republicans have. I'm an Independent. I vote for who I feel is best suited for the job, not along any party lines. I have no idea how I'll vote in 2012. If Obama is doing well, he may get my vote, if not, someone else probably will.

You're a good man Spooks. America needs more voters like you. Personally, if we wind up with a Romney vs. Obama matchup in 2012, and they have serious policy debates without all the hard-edged ideology #######, it will be a terrific thing for the country.

I agree with that. Neither one of them is an ideologue. I still don't think Romney will be able to win over Right Wingnuts of the Republican Party. If he was lucky enough to win the nomination, we could see a third party candidate coming from the Far Right. Imagine a three way between Obama, Romney and Palin? Imagine how the porn industry could cash in on it?

After Obama's reign of economic terror, almost anyone will look acceptable by comparison. At least, Romney could point to some successes and knows far more about economics and business than the community disorganizer we're all stuck with.

Palin's more like Hillary Clinton as a lightning rod for attacks so I don't think she'll get the nomination. Not even as a VP because she'll get all the press again and not the presidential nominee.
