I used to love Swiss chalet in Canada! I can't get it where I am

in the US!

For some reason they closed all the Swiss chalet restaurants in Saskatchewan!! :crying:

JandK-How was that restaurant in Depew? Was it just as good as the Canadian one?

Lol..spicy ketchup...hmm...it sort of tastes like that...only thicker and warmer and goes down better...lol...

Chicken and fries and gravy...yum!

You know, it was so long ago, I don't really remember (I think I was 12 or so). I do remember thinking how weird it was to be eating at Swiss Chalet in NY.

I think it tasted the same though....

I would advise not buying the sauce in the stores. I tried this once and it wasn't anything like you get at the resaurant. Not sure if I made it wrong or what, but definatly didn't match up.

I haven't eaten at a Swiss Chalet for years now. I tried hard to get my parents and I to go when I was visiting in the summer since they like it too, but they opted for cooking dinner at home that night, my last night. So I missed out and was kind of dissapointed as I had been looking forward to eating there.

Wonder if the US restaurants tasted the same? Are they in any other states? I recall Harveys was brought down or was considering being brought down here, but yet to hear much more about it. Time to google...

I'm just a wanderer in the desert winds...

The sauce from the packet tastes exactly the same to me!

I also bought the chicken seasoning and it makes roasted chicken in the oven taste exactly like the chicken too. Mmmmm now I'm craving Swiss Chalet sauce.

Swiss Chalet is one place I WON'T miss. Yuck. I do like their buns and the sauce, though.

I've ordered SC online though and I enjoyed that (didn't get their chicken-nasty). It's such a novelty to me to order takeout online.
