Brith Certificate Question

I was born in Panama so my birth cert is in spanish. I have the original birth cert but only a copy of the translation that was done at the time. Will this be a problem at the interview. Thanks.

This is a pretty obscure question JMilroy - photocopy, original translation, I don't know. I would think it wouldn't be a problem, but I can't say for sure.

My birth certificate is in French as I was born in Quebec. I couldn't get an English copy (silly Quebec rule about having applied for the certificate in French when I was born), so I provided the consulate with a notarized translation. It was the original notarized translation, not a copy of it. Not sure if this info is helpful at all, but this is how I did it and I had no issues during my interview.

We supplied my wife's original birth certificate that was in another language, then made a copy of it with a translation typed onto it as well and got it notarized and that was enough for USCIS, good luck!
