What are you talking about dude... You are basically saying that if I was to mock Mohamed, those who are Muslim are fundies for sticking up for their beliefs. That is idiocy and hypocritical on every level.

Then again I am not surprised, in particular who it is coming from. E.G. Libs vs conservatives. Libs are revolutionaries, conservatives on the other hand are fundies. .

Being homosexual was punishable by death by stoning in 1st century Palestine. People guilty of sexual sins were killed by stoning all the time. Why would the Pharisees (the Jewish leadership in Jerusalem at the time) have needed to go to all the trouble of trumping up a charge of sedition and treason against Jesus? If Jesus was openly homosexual, or if His alleged homosexuality had even seemed plausible to the people at the time, His death and execution would be been completely uncontroversial, and wouldn't have involved Roman civil authorities at all.

Crucifixion, after all, was a secular Roman execution method. Jewish religious executions, for violations of Jewish religious law, were conducted by stoning. This is seen in the Bible where Jesus stops the crowd from stoning the woman caught in adultery, and is uncontroversial, even to secular historians. Homosexuality was and remains a gross violation of Jewish religious law, and would have been punished by the religious method of execution: stoning. If Jesus had been guilty of any religious crime that the Jewish leadership could have pinned on Him, He'd have been stoned in a heartbeat. No need whatsoever to trump up charges of sedition and drag Him in front of the Romans. If it had even seemed plausible at the time to trump up a charge of homosexuality, they would have. Would have saved them a lot of effort.

No, the idea that Jesus was homosexual is silly. Even the idea that Jesus' homosexuality would have seemed plausible at the time is silly.
