The singer makes his controversial claim about the Lord in a new US interview that will enrage America's bible belt.

Elton, 62, declares as he pours out his heart to a magazine: "I think Jesus was a compassionate, super-intelligent gay man who understood human problems."

He adds: "Jesus wanted us to be loving and forgiving. I don't know what makes people so cruel. Try being a gay woman in the Middle East - you're as good as dead."

I see, I see. Mention stats regarding who is disproportionally responsible for crime, and that is generalizing and stereotyping; which should be defended at any cost. Mock the beliefs of others, and those speaking up against these insults are fundies.

You might be right, a few might feel some need to get worked up about it but we have seen so many of these spiritual "revelations" by homosexuals and others this is like Old-stuff.

Again, it is so silly on the face of it, I doubt even non-belivers don't roll their eyes a bit.
