Thanks everyone for your wishes. Yes, we're going the K3 route if possible as we do live in BC and the whole trip to Montreal and proof of domicle situation seems like a hassle if it can be avoided.

Your question about which country I like best...that's hard. I like them both for different reasons I guess. Can't believe how much I've learned about the rest of the world while living in Canada for 12 years. Miss friends, family and lower cost of living in the midwest.

I'm crossing my fingers and saying a prayer that the K3 does get processed and not administratively closed. We'll keep you posted. Thanks again!

Yes, I'm a dual citizen as well. Our kids will have it too after we arrange the register of birth abroad with Vancouver. So glad I have citzenship in Canada and the US. Looking forward to asking questions as things arise in the future...thanks everyone.

I-129F RFE (our atty forgot to complete 2 lines)

I-130 Approved June 23, 2010 121 days from NOA1

I-129F RFE details Received by USCIS July 7, 2010

I-130 Case # at NVC obtained July 8, 2010

I-130 NVC sent affidavit of support and visa bills July 8, 2010

I-129F approved by USCIS and sent to NVC

I-129F confirmed received by NVC and per supervisor, it will be administratively closed

I-129F letter recvd of administratively closed K3 app Aug 2, 2010

Heck, I wonder whatever happened to the days when one would just marry an American and become an American Citizen right away without dealing with the USCIS....Sigh....lol....Way before my time...blah......

Even as many times as I've explained what Yvonne and I are going through on this, I still occasionally get people ask, "wait, doesn't she just become a Citizen when you get married?" I just figure they've been watching Green Card and The Proposal too many times. :-P :lol:

Astronaut- :thumbs: Nice to meet another Dual citizen! And yes, dual citizenship does have its advantages!

Good luck about getting your kids to be dual citizens too, with registar of birth abroad too....

Pauley-Oh yeah, I get asked a lot about that too...lol...Figure they've been watching too much tv/movies too...

I then tell them all about my troubles over the years with the USCIS....That usually shuts them up and gets a few :blink: faces...;)
