My wife just received an e-mail notification of an interview appointment scheduled for Monday the 22nd of February.... just a few days after I submitted packet 3 to the US Embassy in Bangkok. So she has a doctor's appointment at Bumrungrad Hospital in Bangkok for tomorrow, and according to the receptionist at the hospital, she should have all of the required documents the following day. This is such a short notice for an interview that she doesn't have her records of vaccinations, or any medical records for that matter. Is the medical examination something that takes just one day????????

The medical examination papers I downloaded look like they want to test for and give immunization for every disease known to man. Again, is this something that can be done in just one day???????????????

Yes absolutely in 1 day; sometimes they ask you to come back for follow-ups but usually

those can be taken care of in the US if you choose to do so.

We went to Bumrungrad and it was a very modern efficient facility.

It's better to go there as early as possible because if you get there after noon time

it is likely you'll have to come back the next day.

We were Vietnam but in our case the medical exam was done at the IOM (we spent about three hours there total) and the results were available for pickup the next afternoon. After the medical exam we went to the Quarantine Service where she received her TD vaccination. We left there with the documents. That was all that was required for the interview and entry to the US. Now she will need more vaccinations here but we were fine for the front end of the process.
