HELP! I received a text alert for RFE

HI VJ Family!

I received a text alert requesting for initial evidence for a K-3 VISA. I have not gotten the notice yet but what do they normally require for K3? When I filed the I-130, I sent in everything listed on the instructions but for the K-3, I just sent in the applicatio with a copy of the I-130. Was I supposed to send in a new G325A, different set of pics, etc???

If anyone have a clue, please respond, thanks VJ

Nobody can guess it for you. Just wait for the hard copy in your mailbox.

If you think you have included everything, they either lost or misplaced the document so now they want a new copy or they want more pieces of evidence from you.

Relax.

Oh ok, so I did not need to send in anything with the K3? I assumed that they would take whatever they needed from the I13O stuff that I sent. So is that what they do? or do they treat them separately?

That is NOT what they do - each requires it's own supporting evidence/documents - they do not 'pool' resources and are adudicated on their own merits.

Ouch! I was afraid you might say that. Thanks so much, now i am wondering if I shoud abandon the K3 and just wait on the I130. decisions decisions

Yes!! Abandon the K3, it's useless these days. It saves you maybe 2 weeks of time but in the end costs over $1000 more. The benefits of the CR/IR-1 also outweigh the 2 weeks the K3 saves, for example, the beneficiary will be able to work upon arrival, will be able to apply for a drivers license without having to wait...

The K-3 is dead anyway, ignore the RFE, continue on with the CR-1.

ya - wait till you receive something in yer postal mail - you'll have a letter detailing exactly what USCIS wants from you.

Who did your paperwork review and screening prior to sending it off? You might want to 'have a talk' with that person.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.
