Plane crashes into building in Austin, Texas

CNN) -- A small airplane crashed Thursday morning into a building in Austin, Texas, said Lynn Lundsford of the Federal Aviation Administration.

Firefighters used a ladder truck and other equipment to hose down the blaze at the building, which police said was located in the 9400 block of Research Boulevard.

(ETA)

It is an office building that has Federal Office in it.

I think I heard the pilots house was on fire and the plane was stolen.

Sounds like another American who lost "hope".

someone in the office here said they saw someone say on facebook the pilot set his house on fire before stealing the plane. remains to be seen how accurate that is.

Reading other news sources, sure seems intentional to me, especially with a three lane road any one with sense could have attempted a landing on if having engine trouble. Another eye witness said the pilot headed straight to a section of the building. HLS says it wasn't a terrorists, then what it is?

I hate stuff like this, especially as a private pilot, there goes yet another freedom.

Yes, because it is well established and documented that Americans who lose hope set their houses on fire, steal an airplane and fly it into buildings which house federal offices. We're just so fcuking lucky that the instances of Americans losing hope are so fcuking few and far between. We wouldn't have any houses, airplanes or buildings with federal offices left.

An American for whom the hopey-changey thing wasn't working out. It's true, ask Danno.

AUSTIN FIREBALL: MAN TARGETS IRS WITH PLANE

Yup

Pilot May Have Started Fire Before Crash

AUSTIN, TX (myFOXaustin) - Early reports from multiple sources indicate that the pilot may have started a fire at his house before crashing his plane into the Echelon building in Austin.

A source within the federal government has confirmed to FOX 7's Rudy Koski that the pilot who crashed his plane into the building also set fire to his house Thursday morning. The fire happened in the 1900 block of Dopplegrey Lane in North Austin. A neighbor next door said that he heard an explosion and saw the house on fire.

A local fire station saw the fire and reported to the scene. The house was completely engulfed in flames including the fence.

We'll soon see who's right, I mean, correct on this prediction. There will be plenty of speculation I'm sure.
