Hello All,

I have been reading the post from members who have had theri interviews in Lagos and all the disappointments for various reasons.

Since when did Nigerians have access to telephone records? The Asian Lady seem to be very particular with conversation and phone records. Do they not know the environment in which they are operating?

For people that have presented phone records during thier interview, please which phone companies did you all use. Because we are becoming afraid this will also come up during our interview. My D calls every day but they phone company he uses (GLO, ZAIN and MTN) all say they do not give phone record except he goes to police station to get letter and pay XYZ amount of money monthly to be on a special service plan with them.

Are prepaid phone customers not supposed to have itemized calls sent on thier bills like it is done in some companies here?

Someone should tell the Asian lady that phone records is not an esential commodity for the common Nigeria.

I think someone needs to let them know the hassels of getting phone records.

This is ridiculous!

The number of refusal is gettign too much.

Don't you have records that you received calls from his number ? We had 2 pounds of phone records based on my phone lines( home and mobile) . Every day connections permitting for over 2 years we included in the filing and then the months between filing and the interview he carried into the embassy. That was only about 4 inched of paper. Our records showed me calling him, him calling me. We didn't need any from him as his calls showed on my phone records.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

Just use your phone records from the USA like NigeriaorBust stated. That is more than enough. And if you have emails of chats include those as well. If your man is not your husband and he is your fiance, be careful that you dont submit anything with him or you calling each other wife or husband. Just load your case with a lot of evidence showing that you communicate alot and have a bonafide relationship and you will do fine. The Nigeria embassy is crazy and cruel. You just have to stay prayerful and trust God that your case with go as smooth as possible.

hum., I use Time warner cable o. and they are telling me I have to go bring Subpoena from the court to get record of CALLS RECEIVED.

I have record of calls made out, but I do not use them to call him. I use onesuite.com which allows me to call him much cheaper than Time warner cable.

The problem now is that we do not have records of him calling me. Just me calling him.

Abi na one way traffic??

How una see am?

Hi Upchurch!

u go fit get am. Make u work hard. LOL!

Dear heart,

When you contact time warner request to speak to a supervisor or the supervisor's supervisor. U can send them a copy of the consulates request and let them know they are your telephone provider and since you don't use any other phone company but them, (say it like that) you need your phone records per the consulate and if they don't provide it you will have to leave. Trust me you will get somewhere with that. (they can't hold up your life because of stupid red tapes. they good thing is we are in the US and with the right buttons pushed you will be able to get somewhere.

Good Luck! Keep me posted.

Effieb.

Hello upchurch,

I know that denials in Nigeria are becoming too much, but my fiancee showed records of me calling him and it didnt seem to be a problem. I used ustelelinks. It shows how long we were on the phone, my full name address and phone number just like a regular phone bill. Good luck

i had that sort of problem ages past.

But, what I did to 'fix' that - was to make sure that either:

1. my land line account handled outbound at low rate or

2. any pin card company that i used showed all call detail records in some online portal.

the emphasis for this 'evidence' is on 'call detail records'.

Many pin card or dial around services will not provide call detail records.

There's cheap, fast, and good. Pick Two.

For any of you just starting this Visa Journey - hey - find a service provider NOW that handles call detail records. By the time it's 'asked for at the consulate', after the interview date - it's way too late.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

nwayioma thanks. I will print out the onesuite call history as evidence. It is only unfortunate that he spends more time on the phone when he calls. that was the reason we really needed record from time warner cable.

i will keep you posted.

i am praying for you.
