Hello all,

I am just wondering how long it is taking to get the police certificate from RCMP.

We sent our back on Nov 11th and till now we had not recieved it.

We sent them email, and it seems still in their hands, and they give us this long message about how they process so many records and that wait time is about 120 days.

We have interview in 40 days from now, we do have one certificate which was issues 1st week of July last year.

Can any one advise.

Thanks

Batta

Hi,

Really it takes as long as it takes and as you know, it takes a long time!

Generally they are good for 1 year, so you shouldn't have a problem if you have to take the one from July last year. If you don't get the new one before the interview you really have no choice anyway.

I am assuming that the Canadian is either not living on Canada or that they have a criminal record which is why you applied for the fingerprint version?
