I don't have all of the evidence there, Glenn. ... I think some very good questions have been raised in that regard. There's some very good arguments and I think the American people have not seen all the evidence there, so I've not taken a position on that.

Cool - she's not taken a position on it. Good For Her !!!

I'm voting for her..

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

There you are Dave - that wasn't so hard. The views should be denounced no matter who expresses them. The thread wasn't about Dean, but since you need validation based on political equivalence - there it is. If he said something similar, then its just as odious.

Do me a favor and in future try to avoid making silly assumptions about the things people don't say, rather than what they do. You'll be happier, and you won't embarrass yourself chasing your own tail.

Yes, it was simple question and I managed to answered it quite clearly unlike your usual style of evasion. In the future you might do it as well. BTW there's not a political equivalence between a Senator who was a major contender for president and the head of a major political party and a nobody from Texas. A nut spouting off his or her opinion doesn't carry the same weight as a big league politician. The message and the messager should be taken into account.

You made your own silly assumption thinking I was going to change my opinion solely based on party affliation.

Seems to me that the only reason you are doing it is because the person in question is allied to the Republican party, and you can't accept any criticism in that direction without getting defensive.

Gene say hello to your tail and the surrounding rest of your posterior. Oh, I see you've already met before.

Why would anyone refuse to take a position on that?

Perhaps I will refuse to confirm or deny that 9/11 actually took place or that the World Trade Center existed in the first place. I mean... the only time I've seen the WTC is on my TV and it wasn't there when I went to New York, so how do I know if it was ever there?

For that matter - if a tree falls over in the forest, but noone is around to hear it, does it make a noise? I don't know - so I think that I won't take a position on that either.

That's an awful big brush you be using there, madam! I'll take good old American common sense over the self-proclaimed "progressive" insight of Europeans every time.

 Did you give up humour for lent?

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

Perhaps I should remind you Dave, that I am not a US Citizen. I do not follow the careers of US politicians of the major parties - so while I had heard of Dean by name, that's about as far as my knowledge goes (probably as far as yours does to the inner workings of politics in the United Kingdom).

Now try to look at this from my perspective. I read a thread about a political candidate making a rather bizarre claim about 9/11 (most likely to pander to supporters who hold similar opinions). Rather than say "yes, you are right - that is pretty wacky", you have to go all around the houses looking for things that aren't there.

Does that seem reasonable to you, Dave? Yes or no, please - no more of your spiteful petty rants, thank you very much.

That was humor? Okay.

Am I given to making sweeping generalizations and employing stereotypes to make a serious point?

I don't always understand the subtle nuisances of English humour.

I live in America, I like Americans, I married one. Not all English people have bad teeth - not even most. I don't see what's so difficult to understand - although it might not strike any one else as actually funny granted.

Since when has not being a US citizen stop you from voicing your opinion? I have no idea when you emigrated or what your citizenship status is but there is difference with me commenting on politics in the UK- I was only a tourist and not someone planning on living there long-term. You should thank me for telling you something you had no idea about instead of blaming me for bringing it up.

No, it's not reasonable that I should be in lock-step with your level of knowledge (in this case on U.S. politics) and not allowed to introduce anything new to the thread. If I was living in the UK and was on the forum like this I'd defer to the locals given their usually greater familiarity with local conditions and local history.

It's NOT RELEVANT. IN A THREAD ABOUT A SPECIFIC PERSON THERE IS NO REQUIREMENT TO DENOUCE EVERY OTHER PERSON FOR HOLDING SIMILAR LOOPY VIEWS, NO MATTER HOW MUCH MORE MAINSTREAM THOSE PEOPLE MIGHT BE. It's even more loony to expect everyone to know exactly the position held by every other political person currently engaged in politics. That's INSANE!!!!

Agreed. I think some of the people who post here really need to step back and smell the coffee. There's some collective insanity at work here with these freaks always trying to turn everything into a partisan temper tantrum.

All it takes is someone like Rush to suggest something and then it becomes fact. Heck Ranger and co here cannot even accept that both Canada and Australia, have come from nowhere and beaten the US. Better yet, fire back one of many negative international stereotypes circulating First World countries about Americans (E.G. being ethnocentric and stupid), Ranger here decries murder and anti-Americanism.
