Questions about I-864

Hi everybody,

I have some questions about Affidavit of Support or form I-864. I am recently arrived USA and prepare documents for summit AOS and EAD in California. The Step father of my husband will be our sponsor for AOS in affidavit of support. Because my husband didn't make income meet the poverty line. In this case, My husband and his step father have to fill the form I-864. Is that correct ? or His step father have to fill in the form I-864a "Contract Between Sponsor and Household Member" and my husband fill form I-864.

If your husband and his stepfather live in the same house, your husband files I-864 and his stepfather files I-864A.

If they do not live together, then each files a separate I-864.

I and my husband live in the same house with his step father. Eventhough he didn't make income meet poverty line. He could summit form I-864 and his step father could submit form I-864A. Is that correct ?

I just want to ensure my understanding again. ..
