Scroll to the bottom to see the only truly meaningful measure of achievement -- the ability to perform well while servicing a huge number of passengers. The USA and Asia come out on top.

Also, note the absence of Australian airports

Interesting about Guayaquil. It must a plot on the part of the consulate to make it easier to order USCs to appear for Stokes interviews. Regardless, GYQ is a nice airport, si man.

Agree also with the high rating for Houston IAH. In fact, even on heavy holiday weekends (Thanksgiving, for one), I have experienced or seen gridlock inside or outside of the airport exactly one time, si man.

Not to be eschewed is Houston Hobby Airport (HOU), which is also very good, si man.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

The strong showing America shows in the >40 million category puts to rest all allegations that Americans don't know how to run an airport. Any clown can service 5 million passengers, it takes real skill to excel in that category. The US and Asia come out on top with all those Euro airports the hippies like to crow about nowhere in the top 5.

This is talking about passenger throughput. Heck New Delhi made forth on the list. Delhi... the airport is a sh-thole..

The survey involved over 100 airports worldwide and was based on regular monthly questionnaires completed by passengers.

Dallas is nice by Us standard but nothing akin to what I experience in most other modern airports. Most US airports are old, run down, dingy and stuck in the 80s. Probbaly the worst place in the world to be stuck in while your flight is delayed or you are waiting to take a flight. Whereas HongKong, London, Sydney, Melbourne, Berlin, Athens, Dubai etc etc are freagin awesome airports.

Man, you must not know how to read. This is talking about Airport Service Quality, categorized by throughput. The ratings are of ASQ.

Sydney? Didn't even make the list  Talk about freakin' pathetic.

Hence the silliness of the study. If you are going to tell me that Delhi' airport is better than Sydney's two modern airports, than that is lunacy.

Sorry, but the ACI has been at this game a lot longer. Think of them as the Consumer Reports of airports.

Sydney didn't make the only list that matters. Fact. Suck on it, Ozzie.

Where is NYC, Newark, LAX etc? Or is Delhi better than those?? Rubbish..

Delhi is highly rated in the 15-25 million passenger category. Without knowing which throughput category Sydney's airports would place in, I couldn't say if Delhi beat them or not.

That said, the absence of Sydney (or any Ozzie airport) in any of the lists is revealing.

Like I said, Australia appears to be as pathetic as I thought it was.

Those airports almost certainly place in the >40 mill category. They were beaten out by 5 superior airports in that category. Fair and square.

Without knowing what is actually measured, the survey means squat. Find me that, along with the full list, and then we can talk. The thought that Delhi beats any airport is just ridiculous right there. Anyone who has traveled knows that airports in Asia are awesome, hence me stating that for about 2.5 years now.

They would have been severely beaten out.
