How to declare my child as a derivative

I already started a thread asking if I can bring my child with me. And already found out that I can. I'm under f2B category and already paid $70.00 and $400.00 as processing fees. The Affidavit of Support documents are being taken care of by my Dad right now. My question is, when and how will I declare my 2 1/2 year old daughter as a derivative. Do I just include her name on the DS230 that will be given to me? Or do I notify them right now? If so, how? Where will I send the birth certificate? My Dad is my agent.
