My husband is here on a K-1 visa and we are the process of getting everything ready for AOS. He's met another immigrant (not sure of his immigrant status but hes been here for years) in his ESL class and the guy wants him to work odd jobs with him for cash. Is this common and how big of a problem could it be? I'm not crazy about the idea but I know its hard on my husband not doing anything especially since I quit my job to have a baby so money is tight. Any one know of people getting in trouble doing that or any advice? Also I don't know if I trust this guy, are there a lot of situations where immigrants are taken advantage of? Thank you!

Working illegally is working illegally. No way to make it "ok."
