Well, Im worried because our original petition, we did put his dad's name down and his dad's date of birth as he knows who he is. - but now that its time to complete the DS230, they want a birth certificate that shows both parents.

Do you remember if your husband's birth certificate had his dad's name on it?

Why are they asking for both names to be on the birth certificate -- only MIL name was on his birthcertificate and we had the new birthcertificate. We also put his dad's name on the other forms we had no problems.

Andre's only had his mother's name on it. We DID put his father's name on the petition. But, even that information was missing pieces cause they just didn't know all needed information.

Life's just a crazy ride on a run away train

You can't go back for what you've missed

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

You only get one trip

So make it good, make it last 'cause it all flies by so fast

On the gov site when it lists all the docs needed to send - it gives details about what needs to be on the birth certif. That is when it states both mother and father name. I am relieved you guys have had similar sitatuations and it hasnt been a big deal. I really think Im stressing on each and every detail at this point. Thanks to VJ to keep me half-way sane!!
