So is it normal to get an interview and another fingerprints taken when removing conditions? My Permanant residency has been extended for a year while I await biometrics and an interview.

Another biometrics (fingerprints and photo) is normal. Interview may/may-not happen - seems some do, some don't and I guess it can depend on your particular case.

P.S.,

It'd be great if you updated your timeline (your only showing NOA1's for AOS and EAD and obviously you're past that now).

Fingerprints, most definitely - some people received their approval without it, but the majority will need it.

Interview, very unlikely - most people receive an approval without an interview.

ok thank you, I got a surprise when I got the Receipt notice in the mail. It says that my conditional residency has been extended for one year and that in order to further process my petition I will be receiving an ASC appointment notice with a specific time, date and location. It is says that I must wait for my appointment notice before going for the biometric processing.

I sent them tax returns, our daughters birth certificate and every thing else with our name on it, so I thought that that would be enough.

Hi, I applied for a green card two years and a half ago, when I got married. Last august I applied to remove my green card conditions. They sent me a letter within a month to be fingerprinted again. And I was caught by surprise when I received a letter asking me to go again to be fingerprinted two weeks later. More surprised I was when I received a second letter, telling me that my fingerprints couldn't be processed and I needed to send them a criminal background check, together with my personal affidavit, stating that I have never been arrested. And plus, more letters from friends, stating the same thing. In New Jersey, the police use a private company to fingerprint you. Then they will do the rest. But I have absolutely short time to do it, since they gave me a deadline on March 13 and I'm only going to be fingerprinted tomorrow. I don't know how long the process will take. I don't know what to do. Please, help. If my paperwork don't get there until March 13, they will cancel my process.. Thank you, MARIA.
