Hello! as we need to get co-sponsor, we are intresting for how long he will be responsible for person who arrives on k1 visa?

Assuming you guys will file AOS (Adjustment of Status) after getting married; you'll have to file a new (now I-864) affidavit of support - once the 'new' one is filed, the 'old' one won't matter. Now, the I-864 is enforceable really until the immigrant becomes a citizen (if they do).

and it says on the form...

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

The co-sponsor's responsibility ends after the immigrant can be credited with 40 quarters of work in the US(10 years), the immigrant abandons his or her green card (leaving the US), the immigrant dies, or the immigrant becomes a citizen.

Yup - essentially this is the long answer to what will really apply once the new affidavit of support is filed (the I-864 that you'll submit with the AOS 'stuff').

No

It is all on the form.

But if your husband leaves the US then how could he be a charge

QED.

Not until he makes 40 qtrs of work (takes 10 years if he works each qtr straight through)

Once the affidavit is accepted for the AOS - it's for "life" unless you meet one of the conditions to remove it (as outlined above and on the form)

(moved - K-1 to Embassy - I-134)

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

WARNING: Phrases in this post may sound meaner than they were intended to be. Read the Adjudicator's Field Manual from USCIS

The information you need about co-sponsor's responsibilities and how long the co-sponsorship lasts is on page 3 of the I-864 form and instructions: http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/i-864.pdf

How Long Does My Obligation as a Sponsor Continue?

Your obligation to support the immigrant(s) you are sponsoring in this affidavit of support will continue until the sponsored immigrant becomes a U.S. citizen, or can be credited with 40 qualifying quarters of work in the United States. Although 40 qualifying quarters of work (credits) generally equate to ten years of work, in certain cases the work of a spouse or parent adds qualifying quarters. The Social Security Administration can provide information on how to count qualifying quarters (credits) of work. The obligation also ends if you or the sponsored immigrant dies or if the sponsored immigrant ceases to be a lawful permanent resident and departs the United States. Divorce does not end the sponsorship obligation.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”
