You could look into getting life insurance too. My husband set up life insurance with HSBC a few months back (they don't require a medical) - it's good to have, not too expensive and literally we had the policy within 24 hours naming me as a beneficiary.

You could also go to the bank and open a joint account then have the bank write a letter confirming you both opening a joint account on _____ date... That way you don't have to wait for statements.

At this point the more the better - lots of affidavits from friends and family, letters from any company/doctors stating you're listed as each other's emergency contact, joint Netflix/Cost Co/gym membership, copies of any checks written to both of you etc...

Best of luck to you guys - I feel so bad for you... fingers crossed :star:

My husband and I were married in July of 2009. I am the USC and he is Canadian. We had our interview yesterday and were told we needed more proof of a bona-fide marraige. This shocked us because we even hired a lawyer to help with the paperwork and neither of us saw this coming. We are very much in love and I am very emotional now because I am worried we don't have enough evidence.

We eloped and none of our family or friends were at the wedding. My parents are going to write an affidavit and some of our neighbors are going to as well. I run my own business so we have always kept everything separate. We don't even have a common utility bill even though we've lived together for 2 years in a house that I bought. Between the two of us we have three cars and three houses and none of them show joint ownership. I am looking for any help/advice possible. Thank you very much in advance!!!!

You have to provide them with some evidences such as photos e-mails - phone records - letters -affidavit would be good as well and thers is nothing to worry about it i been There before and once i provided them with those evidences they issued me the visa good luck

What about cellphone bills? Do you have a family plan? Or At least showing the same address and phone calls calling each other phones.
