Can a Canadian Request an I-94

I was just wondering if the CBP wants more evidence of a return to Canada can I request that an I-94 be issued to guarantee that I return to Canada? Thanks...

You can always request it (or ask for a stamp in your passport)

canadians dont get I 94s as they are aloud for a 6 month visit

when i went trough the process I had an I 94 but only cose am german citizen ( I was LPR in canada )

even with the i 94 they didnt like to give stamps ,

you can bring effidance like bills a open lease a letter from your employer when your expected to be back ,

anything that shows you have open ties in canada

That was kind of my point. As a Canadian, we don't usually get an I-94, but if I requested one, there would be no question about my intent to return to Canada while in the process of applying for K1...in fact, I would be obligated to return to Canada by the date on the I-94.

Yes you can request one, I've been issued one in the past

However, simply because you are issued an I-94 that is not a guarentee that you will return, that just means that they have greater reign on you. There can certainly be a question of your return to Canada and if that question is strong enough, then they can, and will, deny you entry. Asking for an I-94 does not ensure you entrance into the US. I'm sure plenty of people have been issued I-94s and have overstayed or simply just not returned.

Your best bet would be to bring strong ties to Canada to show them that you must return, not that you are planning on it
