Hi,

This is my situation. I am a F-1 student and i got married to a GC holder in 2007. I sent the I-130 in 2007 and currently its status is "sent to fieled office, status: awaiting interview". The status was changed to "interview" back in December 2009 and I still haven't received by interview appointment yet.

My wife is having her Citizenship interview end of February which after that I can file I-485. Since I have already filed I-130 what should I do ? Should I call the USCIS and withdraw the current I-130 ( the the check cashed long time ago ) or can I still upgrade my I-130 so that I can get a visa number immediately available ?

Would this delay my GC process ? ( the filing of I-130 earlier )

Thank you so much for your comments.

I also have another problem. I finished my Bachelors and applied for Employment Authorization and I received the card, but before I started working, I got accepted for a Masters program in another university and I did not work and currently studying. My old university ( which i applied the Employment authorization) said that my Employment card will expire as soon as i get a new I-20 in the new university.

So now, how do I know if my Employment authorization card is expired and I need to apply a new one with my I-485 ? If its not expired and I file a new one, would that be a problem ?
