I can't believe it... I mailed out my wife's CR-1 Immigration Visa documents on Friday via EMS delivery (next day). Today, my wife just happened to check her e-mail and sure enough Bangkok's Immigration Visa Unit (IV) at the US Embassy sent her an e-mail notification of her interview appointment. What I find strange though, and maybe someone can comment on this, but they sent the interview appointment e-mail to HER e-mail address. I completed all of her papers which she signed, but never did I once include her e-mail address on the applications. It's all legit and I'm happy.... but I'm not sure why or how they sent it to or got her e-mail address. So it looks like her interview is scheduled for next Monday, bright in early at 7am in Bangkok.

I will keep you posted.

So now we are scrambling to get everything together. I work in south Thailand, so going to the certified hospital for her medical exam and making it to her interview Monday morning is going to be hectic. Any quick tips or advice on what to bring or how to prepare would be appreciated. Cheers!

Yeah, somewhere along the way we must've included it. But in the Packet 3 papers, as far as I can remember, I never once included it as far as I can recall. Actually my wife rarely uses the internet so it is unlikely we would've included it. But its all good.... I am just still a little surprised that it's all happening so quickly. From everything I could gather from other visa applicants, I was bracing myself for a 2-6 wait.

I think they look at them on all the forms, there is a spot on Packet 3 where she would put it, also perhaps the paperwork you sent in stateside.

With mine they emailed me, both the account i had emailed them from earlier and the one listed on the form as well as my fiancee.

I have to say I was much much happier with the speed and diligence BKK provided over USCIS or NVC.
