Hi,

Does the I-864 for Adjustment of Status needs to be notarize? Is it ok to pass a W2 photocopies along with it not the original?

EAD:

04.20.2009 : Received Date

05.05.2009 : Received NOA from USCIS

07.28.2009 : Biometrics Appointment

08.04.2009 : EAD Card REceived in mail

AOS:

02.22.2010 : Mailed AOS Application via USPS Express Mail

02.23.2010 : Received date (Chicago Lockbox)

03.02.2010 : Received NOA

03.25.2010 : Biometrics Appointment

05.14.2010 : Interview [Passed!!! Yahoo! Thank God :)]

06.12.2010 : Green Card Received

notarize - no. if you study the signature block, you'll see why.

re: w-2 stuff. in many cases, a photocopy is acceptable. You might want to have a note on it saying 'original will be presented at interview'.

in many other cases - tax transcripts from the IRS are used. if yer in a hurry - can get them faxed same day from the IRS.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

I got a copy from turbo tax, the form 1040. I printed in the computer, thats good right?

I had no problems, I did the same. Just remember to sign before submitting to USCIS/embassy etc. If you have time (about6-8 days) call the IRS toll free number and order your transcripts.......they are free too.

[No need to notarized the I-864.. just submit copy But please bring all with your the original documents on the day of interview ..You don't know what else they are going ask as a proofs.. so Marriage cert. birth of both of you..and passport and some other documents you are submitting to the immigration have them a orignal copy with you.. Good luck!
