Did anyone else cry when Sid scored?? Come on now is the time to admit it because I did!

No, more like swore and punched the couch cushion. ;) Was a good goal, though. No way was Miller gonna stop that one.

Great game. I was definitely disappointed in the outcome, but not in their effort and skill in the game. Canada was the better team today and deserved their win. Congratulations. As soon as the game was over, my wife's family was on skype. Before they even got into congratulations, they had to get a dig in about the win, and more gold medals. I couldn't resist a small quip about us setting the record for most medals in a winter olympics. But I cut that short. I could really see how much it meant to her family, none of whom are hockey fans at all, that spoke volumes to me.

I also don't understand all the Crosby haters out there... Nice guy, excellent hockey player. Glad he got the series winner!

And he's very very hot. ;D! Haha.

But it made me wish I was back in Cole Harbour. I loved it there, even though public transit was sadnsakdja.

GO CANADA. :D

I'm just glad they scored when they did, as in 5 min I had to leave for work!! Wasnt agreat goal, but wasnt a bad goal either, but Miller played superbly! Can't really say that for loungo, he looked really nervous.

Dont worry about that 1 poster, every thing he writes is negative, that gets old pretty quickly. yes, many like to hate on Sid, sure a lot of hate on him in DC. But no denying he is a super player! as super player with a Stanley Cup and a Gold Olympic medal!! Hopefully OV or Iginla can win the Cup this yr,lol PARTY ON CANADA!!!

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

I wish to congratulate Team USA men's hockey on their stunning silver win! Whoo hoo! And, according to one Russian athlete who also won silver, it's a "platinum medal"!

What a game! So sorry Ryan was so sucky at the end when he was interviewed. That's one thing I noticed this year during the Olympics...many atheletes were not humble whatsoever! So Ryan, in an interview after, says nothing nice, just "...it was just a game, like any other...". Yeah RIGHT!

Yes, American's won more Winter Game medals than ever! Congratulations to them! Canada beat the Soviets (from 1976) for the most golds ever in Winter Olympic games as well!

Sid actually didn't have a very good tournament. It wasn't even about the points, it was the way he played. I saw him give up a few times, not chase the puck, not show intensity..which for that kid is very strange! But, nonetheless, couldn't be happier for him.

My brother called me really drunk and his friends were yelling in the background "Tell your sister to tell her American friends to suck it!" haha. And I was like, "Somehow...I don't think I will be doing that..." and we were just laughing together. Then he said to me..."Manda..I can't believe it! When Sid scored, I got down on one knee, and did 5 fist pumps in the air!" hahah

He was completely drunk but it really made me smile :)

Yeah I thought it was a bad time to interview him too because he couldn't be impartial just yet. The guy just lost a very important game and they are shoving a mic in his face. He should have said a little bit more, though, in terms of congratulating his fellow players on the other team. Kessler was even more offensive and unsportsmanlike I thought! Did any one see his between the period interview?

"...My hair's mostly wind,

My eyes filled with grit

My skin's white then brown

My lips chapped and split

I've lain on the prairie and heard grasses sigh

I've stared at the vast open bowl of the sky

I've seen all the castles and faces in clouds

My home is the prairie and for that I am proud…

If You're not from the Prairie, you can't know my soul

You don't know our blizzards; you've not fought our cold

You can't know my mind, nor ever my heart

Unless deep within you there's somehow a part…

A part of these things that I've said that I know,

The wind, sky and earth, the storms and the snow.

Best say that you have - and then we'll be one,

For we will have shared that same blazing sun." - David Bouchard

No, didn't see his interview at all. I know it's disappointing not to win the gold, however, the US team DID win silver. I just thought since he's a professional (as if that should matter?), he should have been more gracious, to the winning team, as well as his own teammates!

I thought that too, but I agree that it was just too close after the game and with all the adrenaline pumping in their system, Im sure none of them were happy about the outcome. I was watching the ceremony for the women's team and half of them were scowling while the other half were crying. I felt bad for those crying! And even during the men's ceremony, most of them were just really glum. It must be really hard, considering that most of them are team mates and will be playing together starting today... At least there was a happy Miller during the closing -- I think he was the only hockey player I caught in all the mix!

Finally married... and still married... ;)

Well it was at least an exciting game and not a total bust. I agree though that the way they do the rounds is really messed up and definatly should have a tie breaking game. That or the US should have automatically got gold when they advanced to the next round (you know i had to say that :)).

Oh well, I guess it would kind of suck for Canada if they didn't win at their own sport and kind of gave them a huge end to their hosting of the Olympics too. I am also getting a billion Facebooks posts on my page now about the game so apparently it was really a big game up there.

Personally I like the skiing events, but only watched the game because my friend is into it and she really wanted to watch it. Oh well congrats...
