I have to admit that HeatDeath's observation that "a hockey game broke out' made me laugh out loud though - that was so perfect!

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

Americans just can't be good sports about it! Canada won fair & square!
I wouldn't say that about all Americans..

Well said, Sprailenes. I was all over the game, and was upset that we lost... but it was a damned good game.

The NHL starts up again tomorrow, the Sabres play Tuesday night and Ryan Miller's back in goal. GAME ON!!!!!!!! :D

Nope...no tears here! But I was caught off guard for like half a second! I seriously didn't see the goal! It was just so unlike Miller to let a shot like that in! I really feel bad for Miller. SUCH an incredible Olympics for him, and yet he'll likely be criticized for that one gaffe...literally the only gaffe I can remember him making in the entire tournament!

Just before the start of OT, my dad called and his last words before he got off the phone were "you watch, Crosby's line is due". I am sure my old man was crying with you Sprai!

I stood up, pumped one fist, and whispered "yessssssss" which is more animated than I have ever been about a sporting event in my entire life.

I didn't understand why the hockey panel of McKenzie, Kypreos, Duthie and McGuire were all criticizing Crosby's play during the series. I thought he was playing well in every game. He was just playing as a team member, NOT a star...which is one of the things that really helped Canada this year, in my opinion.

I also don't understand all the Crosby haters out there... Nice guy, excellent hockey player. Glad he got the series winner!

I didnt cry but I was on my feet the entire time and finally breathed a sigh of relief and plopped on the couch. Like Wyatt, I didnt even see the goal... I heard my husband go "OH NO" then realized we goaled and then heard the crowd go wild!

I must say my heart stopped when the US scored at the last few seconds of the third period. STOPPED.

Finally married... and still married... ;)

When we scored the winning goal I threw my fist in the air and shouted 'YESSSSSSSSSSSS!'

My husband was rooting for the US team, but he said congratulations at the end :P
