Although yes they probably were thinking of a Sun. game I don't think they took this game for granted. The Slovaks had quite a few pro players also.

If not for a crossbar in the dying seconds it would have been an OT game. Then it's anyone's game to win..

I would think Canada to be the favorite. The US is not rested by much, not like they won and early series and had 3 or 4 days off waiting for an opponent. Besides these are all pro players whom are accustomed to playing several games without a days rest.

Come Sun. I'm sure both will be ready to go. As for pressure remember Canada is the home team they have that so called 7th player on the ice with them. I can tell you crowd support goes a long way in bringing a team to a high adreneline level.

If we play with the same intensity and own the corners and the board battles as we did against Russia then Canada will be the Gold medal winners.

If we play as flat and sluggish as tonite's game then the US will take Gold

Oh man... it's gonna be a good one! Husband and I will be watching it eating the tortilla/bean casserole I'm going to make! Such fun rivalry! I love it. Can't wait for this game!

I'll be able to see most, but like Flames, going to miss the end. I have a hockey game of my own in DC and have to leave here about 5:30pm.

I'd be lying if I said I was't nervous. I work with some of the worst hecklers. Philadelphia has the worst sports fans so you can imagine what people at work say. I was actually thinking of calling in sick on Tuesday if we lose so I don't have to deal with it right away.

Ugh, I had to deal with people I barely knew after we lost that first game! They only knew I was Canadian, but hardly know me, and they were driving me insane! Not to mention John...he wanted to put up "USA USA USA" on his facebook after that game. I told him he could go ahead and do it if he wanted a divorce

I'm lucky that my wife is away till May,lol But my co-workers have been on me! And i have been very polite, no bragging about Team canada at all, oh well,lol They best win!!

Haha...I just got off the phone with my wife and she was all, "Yeah, let's not talk about today's game." And I said, "Oh, it's fine...I'm not offended that you're rooting for Team USA and I won't be overly upset if they win." She said, "Yeah, well I will NOT be happy if Team Canada wins, soooo...let's not talk about the game!"

Normally I'd call her during the intermissions, but I have a feeling I'll be refraining from that today.

Oh, and I forgot to mention....the women's team I play for, myself and our coach/sub player are the only Canadians on the team. Not going to be good before the game if Canada loses, as that's ALL I'll hear about.

I don't brag about the Canadian team, although since I play on a women's team, I'll have to brag some about the Canadian women winning hehehehe
