AOS Interview; Vac. Worksheet good enough?

Has anyone sent in just the Vac. Worksheet for the adjustment of status, and has had an issue at the interview with them requesting the 693 sealed?

Is this even required for the fiancee visa, considering she had her medical just 3 months ago in the Philippines?

I would have gotten a RFE if they had not accepted it, correct?

I'm worried, please reply. If we need this 693, there a lot of hassle involved- and everyone here would require her take the whole medical again.

There have been a some people getting RFE's for it based on missing vaccines or things like that, but they have also been requesting it more now from others, so its possible you might get an RFE. If you have already submitted your AOS with it, you will know if you get an RFE for it when they start working on it, they would have accepted it without sending the RFE right away as long as your major documents are correct (the cheque, the I-485 being there). Please update your timeline, as it will help people answer this question more accurately!

I already have the interview letter, and her interview is on March 22nd. I did not receive a RFE, does that mean Im in the clear on the 693? Or are they going to deny me for not having it at interview?

I would encourage you to do some reading around lately on these I693 RFEs. It is my belief that many of them are issued in error, and contacting your congressperson or senator can quickly get it straightened out without having to get a whole new medical (or even see the CS at all!)

K-1:

January 28, 2009: NOA1

June 4, 2009: Interview - APPROVED!!!

October 11, 2009: Wedding

AOS:

December 23, 2009: NOA1!

January 22, 2010: Bogus RFE corrected through congressional inquiry "EAD waiting on biometrics only" Read about it here.

March 15, 2010: AOS interview - RFE for I-693 vaccination supplement - CS signed part 6!

March 27, 2010: Green Card recieved

ROC:

March 1, 2012: Mailed ROC package

March 7, 2012: Tracking says "notice left"...after a phone call to post office.

More detailed time line in profile.

That's the thread which really cemented my thoughts on the subject, and why I've been more strongly encouraging correction as an option rather than just more money on CS's.

There were a couple people over in the Canada forum that were specifically asked for the I-693 at their AOS interviews. Two that come to mind fairly recently were a couple interviewing in Detroit in October, and then a couple interviewing in LA in November. So, it is possible that the IO interviewing you will request that documentation. If you don't want to go through the hassle of having the vaccinations transcribed I'd suggest coming prepared with an argument as to why you aren't required to have it done.

Personally, I just submitted a copy of my vaccination worksheet with my AOS paperwork and ended up with an interview. At the interview the IO asked me If I had a new medical to show him and I simply explained that I was a K-1, my old foreign medical one was less than a year old, and all the information he needs should be in my file in front of him. He accepted that and moved on.
