Should I contact NVC after NOA2 approval?

How long does NVC take to reply an email? Since I'm outside US would be the best way.

Yes, do give the NVC a ring. Don't rely on mailing them although they may reply within a day or so. You may call them after a day or two from the NOA2. If they keep saying your case hasn't arrived yet, call them everyday until you get your NVC case number.

Our Journey For K1 Visa

11/18/2009 - NOA1 Hard Copy Received

02/13/2010 - NOA2 Hard Copy Received

03/04/2010 - K1 Visa Packet 3 Arrived

05/04/2010 - Interview - APPROVED !!!

05/19/2010 - My Shah comes to the USA via CHICAGO :)

06/02/2010 - Apply for SSN

06/25/2010 - WE GOT MARRIED!!!!! :)

Our Journey For AOS

07/07/2010 - Start AOS process - Another 2 years, but my Shah is with me :)

07/08/2010 - AOS & EAD Sent to Chicago Lockbox

07/12/2010 - AOS & EAD NOA1 Received

07/26/2010 - AOS & EAD Appointment Letter Received

08/19/2010 - AOS & EAD Biometrics Taken

08/21/2010 - AOS Transfer to California Service Center

09/04/2010 - Received EAD Card :). It is A Very Happy Day :(

10/12/2010 - Received REF Missing Page on I-485 :(

11/08/2010 - Received Green Card for 2 Years :)

Yes, and don't forget to talk to a live operator (a human) as K1s aren't entered in the automated system.

AoS Process

AoS/EAD/AP file sent: 2011-02-16

Received: 2011-02-17

NOA: 2011-02-22

Touched: 2011-02-24

Hard copy NOAs received : 2011-02-28

Biometrics letter received: 2011-02-28

Biometrics appt: 2011-03-17

EAD & AP approved: 2011-04-28

AOS appt: 2011-05-12 (notice sent April 6) APPROVED :)

But don't stress yourself keep in mind that NVC takes up to 2 weeks to assign you a case #. So Call them every day but keep this "2 weeks" in mind so you don't start getting crazy like I did.

I-130 Filed: 04-01-2009

NOA1: 04-09-2009

I-130 Approved on Nov 19, 2009

NVC Journey Dec. 2009

Dec 4: wife's case was entered at NVC

Jan 08: Sing in failed......wow thanks GOD. Jan 11: CASE COMPLETE TOTAL TIME 24 BUSINESS DAYS OR 38 CALENDAR DAYS FOR CASE COMPLETE.

Feb 5: Interview date scheduled. Interview on March 23, 2010

Embassy Journey 1.0

March 23, 2010: Interview date. Wife placed on AP, Baby required new birth cert.

April 21, 2010: Wife out of AP she needs to get an approved I-212 from USCIS, Baby birth cert. issue resolved.

I-212 Waiver @ USCIS Journey

May 10, 2010: Filed form I-212

Sept. 9, 2010: I-212 Approved

Embassy Journey 2.0

Sept. 22, 2010 New Interview date.

Sept 22, 2010 VISA APPROVED.

Waiting for visa to arrive at Cali-Colombia.

They are open until midnight monday-friday.

You can buy about $10 Skype credit and call from there. Way cheaper!

CR-1 Journey - California Service Center

I-130 timeline:
I-130 NOA1 - 05th Nov, 2009
I-130 NOA2 - 10th February, 2010 Yay!!!!
"Your I-130 was approved in 97 days from your NOA1 date."

NVC Journey:
02-16-2010: NVC Case # Assigned
03-31-2010: Case Complete!!
04-12-2010: Interview date assigned by NVC.
05-11-2010: Medical appointment in Rio

05-13-2010: Interview in Rio - APPROVED!!!

06-02-2010: POE in Washington DC - Finally home!

July 30, 2010 - Received the Green Card after receiving 4 welcome letters! USCIS see ya later!

2 YEARS LATER......

03-02-2012: Elegible to lift conditions
06-02-2012: Temporary GC expires

12-20-2012: Permanent GC received

6 MONTHS LATER......

06/03/2013: n400 Filled

10/22/2013: Citizenship test and oath ceremony
