Hi everyone,

My wife left to China with I-131 last month, which is vaild for one year. I got her green card last week.

Can she come back to state with travel documents (I-131)?

I don't want to sent her green card, It may not get it by any methods of mailing.

Thanks!

Hey, that's wonderful she got her GC. Definitely do not mail it to China. What a nightmare. Yes, the I-131 or Advanced Parole will still work. If they ask her any question at POE, it is easy, she just needs to tell them the GC came while she was in China.

Moving from K-1 forum to 'Working and Traveling prior to - or in this case - ' while' :) - getting a Green Card' forum as a more appropriate location.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

She left with the AP document - suggest she return using the AP document.

DO NOT SEND the GC to her via any shipping method. Is too much risk to be lost.

If you are travelling to see her before she returns, then bring it with you, give it to her.

Good Luck !

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

DO NOT SEND the GC...The Ap is valid for a year so she will be good to come back with it with no problems...
