moved to u.s. and have possessions still in canada

i have furniture, clothes, electronics etc. at my mom's house in canada, which is my last residence in canada before i moved to the u.s. in may '08, on a fiance visa. i now have my 2 yr. green card and i would like to go back to canada to get more of my belongings. i only brought a car load with me when i came over the border and didnt have anything shipped here after, nor have i been back to canada since to do so. do i need to fill out any paperwork to bring my stuff over the border? will i have to pay any duties on my stuff? thanks for your time

Hi,

You have 10 years to bring your personal possessions in.

You don't need to fill out anything in particular although it is a good idea to carry an itemized list with you. Nothing fancy, just a general list like:

Box 1 - CDs and DVDs

Box 2 - Misc Kitchen items

etc etc.
