We got transferred to CSC a couple of weeks back  so no having to worry about having to immediately come back from our honeymoon...

We've sort of made loose plans for the next few years-he'll hopefully start school next June (in the meantime is looking into doing substitute teaching since you only need a bachelor's for that), go to school from 2011-2012, work from 2012-2013 school year and hopefully by the end of that school year I'll have had our first kid :luv: and then he will stay home full-time until I get a job in Seattle where my family is. It's more important for me to get a job since I make more as a nurse than he would as a teacher and I don't want to switch fields. Unforftunately there are not a lot of NICUs in the Seattle area compared to the east coast, so it may take awhile to get a job. In the meantime we are aiming to pay off all our debt (student loans and small car debt) and save $$ for a mortgage. yay! I can't wait to have babies! :luv:

YAY for CSC transfer!! We've haven't heard anything since they transferred us. I suspect we won't hear anything until Phill's approved or if we get an RFE. Still waiting to see if we'll get an RFE for the medical. Wow, already making plans for babies!!! How fun! That'd be cool if you could find something soon in Seattle. I've always wanted to visit Seattle...one of these days. We've discussed kids and we both want them, just not for awhile. We want to be able to spend some one-on-one time together since we obviously couldn't date as a "normal" couple! lol My mom cannot wait for grandbabies. LOL!!!

WOOHOO!!!! I got two emails from USCIS today!! One of them confirmed that they have approved Phill for permanent residence and the other confirmed that they had ordered the card production and to expect it in the mail within 30 days! Holy crow!! That didn't take near as long as I'd feared!! Oh and to update you all---we never saw a civil surgeon. Just sent in the DS-3025.

:wow:

Congrats! Glad that you didn't have to see the Civil Surgeon. I'm doing that next week. I had to have one of my jabs at the GP after medical so my DS-3025 is incomplete :(

Hope that all the CSC transfers are as fast as yours was!

Awww that's no fun. :( Hope the civil surgeon visit goes well for you though. I agree, I hope everyone who was transferred will be a breeze. I was so surprised! Hopefully by the end of September we will see more approvals!!

Omg! Congratulations! That's fantastic - approval in 2 months! Congrats again!!! Yaaaay! :)

Thank you!!

I almost forgot, on Friday Phill got a letter from USCIS--his advance parole has been approved for multiple uses! We were very relieved about that!

Congratulations. And I only sent in the DS-3025 so it's encouraging to see you didn't get any RFEs for the medical. Hopefully I won't either as that's all I sent in too.

Here's hoping! We were willing to take the risk. The process is expensive enough without paying out money for needless things.

Those were our thoughts exactly. We knew we had a civil surgeon nearby in case we did get an RFE and were totally prepared for one just in case.

We had our biometrics appointment on Tuesday. Am hoping we hear something more soon.

Quick update for everyone even though we're behind a lot of you...

We sent off our AOS application on Aug 17th,

It was recieved at the Chicago PO Box on Aug 19th,

The cheque was finally cashed on August 26th,

x3 NOA1's were recieved in the mail on August 30th &

Can't check on our status on the USCIS website yet though... But hey, Yay we're in process finally! Good luck to everyone else with their biometrics, interview etc... This seems a far simpler and less stressful process than K1!
