Been meaning to check in all weekend, it's just been crazy busy here! Phill had his biometrics appointment on Friday. We got there at 8:30am and walked out of there at 8:50am. His appointment was at 9am. LOL!! Very fast and easy. Then yesterday, he got a letter stating that they've transferred his case to California! Woohoo!! I guess that means no interview which makes us very happy! :) STILL can't track our case online. I'm not sure if we should call the service center or not. It would be nice to be able to track and see what's going on. Good luck with all the doggie stuff. I'm glad you were able to bring her over!!

..Wow 1 day after your bio appt you received that letter?! Our appt was yesterday at noon (but they sent us back home to get our marriage certificate! Leanne's passport had her maiden name and the appt letter had her new name, so they wouldn't see her without proof of marriage!)... we finally got out of there about 1:30pm.

We will be watching our mailbox for a letter now too lol ...our case was updated (touched) today :)

Yes! I'm guessing the letter was in the mail already, but it was weird how it worked out! That stinks that you had to go back home then go back in! At least it's done now though! Gonna go try and track our case again. If not, I'm calling the service center this week, this is nuts...

Hi everyone, we're sending our AOS packet off today! Yay!

Can anyone confirm the correct address for me? Is it 131 South Dearborn, 3rd Floor, Chicago, Illinois? And what method did you send it with? For the K1 pettition, I think we had a green piece of card from USPS, come back saying it had been signed for... Did anyone do that for this?

A big CONGRATULATIONS Rito!!! :)

Soulja4christ, I thought you couldn't track it if its a PO Box? Thats why I was thinking we should sent it by Express Mail to the 131 South Dearborn Address? The only problem with that though, is it's an unbelievable $18.30! So, I was looking for a cheaper alternative... hmmm. Ok thank you very much!!

the receipt will have your delivery confirmation #, which you can use to track it..ours cost $9.30 ($8.60 for priority + .70 for the delivery confirmation)

I guess since it is a po box, that is why we didn't get that little green card back in the mail.

Oh thanks! :) You just saved us half the price! I just had a quick look on the USPS website and the flat rate Priority envelope is only $4.90 though... Did you get the box instead then?

we used the envelope, but ours weighed 1 lb. 10.4 oz. ...so i guess it isn't really a 'flat rate' lol

PO Box is the only correct address. I've seen other people who didn't send it there and their package went AWOL. I wouldn't send it anywhere but the PO Box.

We sent ours to the PO Box that was posted here earlier. We got a padded envelope from Walmart to send it in. We sent ours with return receipt requested--that is when you get the little green card back. I had read it was recommended to do that in case the government wanted to turn around and say you never sent it. The little green card is your proof that you DID send your package. We were also able to track it online, although the USPS tracking service isn't that great (at least not around here lol). I think we spent $10 on postage, but it was worth it to us knowing we'd have an official postal document proving we sent in the package. :)

Good luck to everyone applying!

We got transferred to CSC a couple of weeks back  so no having to worry about having to immediately come back from our honeymoon...

David took the Praxis 1 (reading, math, writing) which is the major test to get into this teaching graduate program he wants to do. Bragging a bit--he got a perfect score on the math portion! But, of course, I guess it wasn't that hard since he was a physics graduate and did Calculus and this was mostly Algebra/Geometry type stuff.

We've sort of made loose plans for the next few years-he'll hopefully start school next June (in the meantime is looking into doing substitute teaching since you only need a bachelor's for that), go to school from 2011-2012, work from 2012-2013 school year and hopefully by the end of that school year I'll have had our first kid :luv: and then he will stay home full-time until I get a job in Seattle where my family is. It's more important for me to get a job since I make more as a nurse than he would as a teacher and I don't want to switch fields. Unforftunately there are not a lot of NICUs in the Seattle area compared to the east coast, so it may take awhile to get a job. In the meantime we are aiming to pay off all our debt (student loans and small car debt) and save $$ for a mortgage. yay! I can't wait to have babies! :luv:
