YAY! Have you tried putting in the receipt to track your case? I haven't tried in a couple of days. Last time I tried, it told me the number was invalid.

True! I'm checking our numbers again and....still nothing. We are able to input these numbers into the USCIS website correct? Grrr... Anyway, Phill got his letter for biometrics today!! His appointment is at 9am next Friday!

I haven't tried copying and pasting from the emails. I used the receipt numbers that were on the letters. The numbers start with MSC. I don't know, it's aggravating!

Just went to get my SSN today. So simple and easy. I was there less than 1/2 an hour, the employee knew what he was doing and nothing went wrong or was missing. I'm very lucky I guess.

  • 2 weeks later...

Hi everyone! Just checking in too. I'm puting together all of the paperwork for AOS today. Uhh! I cant wait to be done with immigration.

My 1-94 expires on the 29th August but as we've had so much to pay out with the wedding and our dog Honey, we're thinking about applying a little after the expiry date instead. A few people on here have said thats fine, but has anyone else done this??

And also, I keep hearing about cases being transferred to California with no interview... Is this happening to alot of people?

Nickandkayte, I remember you before on the pet thread. Did you end up bringing your dog over to the US? I say because we've being doing a little research and have just found out a whole load of vaccines and precautions we now have to take for Honey. It never ends...

We just mailed our AOS packet out on Saturday. Hopefully this goes a little bit smoother than the K-1.

We were going to but decided its to hard to fly a Maltese over in the summer in Florida, and its so stupidly expensive for a 10lb dog he may just have to stay with my parents which is fine too :). What problems have you run in to?

Oh and the Greencard arrived yesterday! Woohoo! About time! Now on Monday I have to go get my driving permit, my FAFSA completed and go to a Navy Recruiter. :)

Not problems, just annoying things and unexpected costs. Heartworm tests, lyme disease tests, vaccinations against diseases that they don't have in the UK etc... But its all worth it! We love our baby! I'm so glad she's here, she loves running on the beach every morning. That's a shame you couldn't bring your dog. I'm sorry. Congrats on the greencard though! :) Uhhh I cant even begin thinking about starting to learn to drive here yet! When I get the greencard though, prob next year...

Been meaning to check in all weekend, it's just been crazy busy here! Phill had his biometrics appointment on Friday. We got there at 8:30am and walked out of there at 8:50am. His appointment was at 9am. LOL!! Very fast and easy. Then yesterday, he got a letter stating that they've transferred his case to California! Woohoo!! I guess that means no interview which makes us very happy! :) STILL can't track our case online. I'm not sure if we should call the service center or not. It would be nice to be able to track and see what's going on. Good luck with all the doggie stuff. I'm glad you were able to bring her over!!
