I already sent all original copy of Birth CErt. Marriage Cert. and police clearance to NVC, do i need to bring original of these 3 or just the copy? thank you?

My understanding is, you don't need to bring original anymore just copies are fine. Infact you need to collect originals from embassy.

They actually took original birth certificate and marriage certificate at VFS yesterday. Might have been because my spouse had it!!! I am not sure now.

I would like other experienced member to comment.

Originals, plus a photocopy, are to be submitted during NVC processing for the DS-230. If you didn't do that, then it's easy to 'take the documents' at interview day. Usually, though, if not submit originals documents at NVC, you'll get an RFE for it.

Anything @ VFS/India is twisted, I've read a lot here on VJ - there seems to be 'no consistency' with it, at all.

In other Embassys/Consulates - the original documents are returned to the Beneficiary on Interview Day, usually immediately after the interview is completed. For some, is not automatic, the interviewee has to 'ask', as well.

In general, no - the originals are not to be brought in on interview day.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.
