You mean like complaining about how you don't want your taxes to pay for the welfare of these kids, but would rather see the 11 year old and the baby in care and the parents jailed (at taxpayer expense)?

Didn't scream anything about society collapsing. What I did say is that this sort of ####### should not be happening in a first world country in 2010. The last such case involving an 11 year old occurred in Bulgaria last year.

Since I am going to pay either way, I'd prefer the parents be sent to prison. What part of that do you have a problem with grasping?

What's not to understand? Your 'oh well sh-t happens' approach towards such situations is nothing new. The UK has your approach and has effectively turned to ####### because of it. Since you like this approach so much, more than happy to direct you to Newark.

The reality of life is that it isn't fair - most people learn this as they're growing up

The reality of living in a society is that bad things happen, and that everyone pays for the negligent and the unfortunate, whether they want to or not (because life isn't fair).

If you weren't so set on enacting vengeance and punishment on the girl and her parents, you'd see that. Unfortunately you allow anger to cloud your judgement, so you won't see it.

People are free to do as they please but they certainly should not be doing so on my dime. Furthermore, when others have to suffer because of someone's negligent choices, they should be forced to pay for the consequences of their actions too. Too many people get to make bad choices in life, only to have everyone else pay and suffer for it - time this changes. For example, if a kid is screwed up by their parents and ends up becoming a serial killer, their parents should have their azz dragged to prison too.

I get nothing out of paying for welfare, not even a thank you for all of the overtime you put in Uncle Bill card. To the contrary, knowing that there would be four less clowns free to breed, the money would be well spent; could even be considered an investment.

Prison doesn't keep people from reproducing, as I'm sure you're aware. The clowns will multiply behind bars. In fact, they'll spread their clown genes to others and create a new clown society...all subsisting on your dime. At some point, a few of the clowns will be released and breed with those on the outside, and on and on. Look what you'd be responsible for.
