Hello everyone!

I have a few questions.

1. Do cases that are transferred to CSC get approved faster than the ones being set for an interview?

2. Is it true that "less complicated cases" get transferred to CSC? If so, what does a "complicated case" mean that it has to undergo an interview?

3. To those who got transferred, how long did it take for your case from NOA1 to the date it was sent to CSC?

4. To those who live in, near, or around L.A., how did your interview go?

I will certainly appreciate your response to this.

1. Typically YES. Cases transferred to CSC usually do not get an interview and thus are approved faster than those scheduled for an interview. Our case did not get an interview.

2. Sorry I do not know, the definition of "complicated" is.......well complicated. I will presume that straight forward and accurately completed cases stand a higher rate of transfers to CSC. I was careful to include all documents, not just "most" of them.

3. Ours was transferred 15 dec 09 and approved 26 jan 10, 41 days or so for approval.

4. N/A, We are in Florida!

Best Wishes.

1. The October 2009 filers kept a spreadsheet tracking dates and timelines. Cases that were transferred to CSC were approved roughly a month faster than cases with interviews.

2. Sounds reasonable but there's really no way to know for sure.

3. NOA1 to CSC transfer was 15 days, but that was on the fast side for our month. Average was 21 days. Low was 12, Highest non-outlier was 28. Longest was 86, but that's an extreme outlier and can be disregarded.

4. N/A. Was transferred and live nowhere near LA.

DON'T PANIC

Not a personal experiance but a friend who did his recently in LA (like 2 weeks ago) said it was fast and really easy, that the people were super nice. His timeline was about 4.5 months from beginning to end of the AOS process.

Generally those that are transferred are done faster, but I wouldnt necessarily say less complicated cases are transferred over others. In some areas (California for example) it seems like almost everyone gets an interview. I wouldnt say that all us in CA have more complicated cases, I think we just end up all having interviews because of other immigration factors in this area.
