How about your fiance sponsor you? If the fiance does not make enough money, ask her family, friends, co-workers.

I doubt anyone from this forum would sign up to be your co-sponsor.

finding a sponsor was something I thought we would never do

it isn't easy

good luck (F)

then you must understand how important it is right? The only thing stopping me being with the love of my life is a co-sponsor. I would do anything to be with her. Seems like all my options aint great, but i'm still hopeful in everything i do.

what is a LPR??

what is a LPR??

Lawful Permanent Resident of the US (and IN the US) - sometimes called a Green Card holder.

And for what its worth - if you are unable to get a family/friend/co-worker etc to agree to co-sponsor, you may want to reevaluate your plans. The minimum required (for a household size of 2) is $18,212 (more if you live in Hawaii or Alaska).

$18212 is certainly doable - a full time job paying $8.75/hour will do that.

As we discuss in that thread, really the only options are for your fiancee to figure out how to make more money or to get a cosponsor.

Just to clarify - the OP is asking if the co-sponsor needs to live in the US or can they live in the UK, and is not asking if someone here can sponsor him moving from the UK to the US. :) .

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

Why not self sponsor?

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

We already went over that in another thread - it's not really an option for this couple.
