Hello!

My wife's 2-year conditional green card expires in 3 months. We will be applying to remove the conditions, however, she is also planning to travel to Russia for two weeks while her 2-year green card is still valid. Since there will be only 2 months until the expiration, do you think they can give her a trouble at the POE on her way back?

As long as the GC's valid.... she'll be fine.

If you've applied for her 10-year GC, she'll have a 1-year extension letter..... this is good also to be used with the 2-year GC.

Old and Grumpy....But an American Citizen!!!

So long as she HAS the extension letter (at US end for re-entry; exit officials of other countries may allow even with expired card due to wording "Permanent Resident"--as happened with Pras at Heathrow last May) in hand.
