Hi again..

Yes.. I was too looking for case similar to mine but I did not found any. Just husband-wife cases. In fact.. the case number of my son is 2010-2010-001,, so Im not sure if that means he is the first child of the year applying for a permanent resident. What case number do you have for your son??

You can download packect 3 from website of Cd Juarez Consulate.. here is the link:

http://ciudadjuarez.usconsulate.gov/root/pdfs/packet_3_complete.pdf

If you have any question please ask me.. I will try to help you..you can also send me emails to: marisol_marfil@hotmail.com.

Have you tried to file CRBA (consular record of birth aboard) for you child?? because most of the US citizen are able to do that, that's why we dont find many cases for minor children.

Wow !.. that was quick !.. congratulations !!.. But now im worried why I havent received yet an appoinment date for my son ... I will call again. :(

Hi, everyone!

Today I got a response from CDJ informing me that my husband has his appointment on Oct 21, 8 weeks after I sent packet 3!

Of course I don't know the time because all of that is in the letter they sent me on Sept 13 which I have not received. What happens if I don't receive the letter? Does anybody know?

Ariana, good luck on your trip and keep us posted!

Pnewton, congrats! Get packet 3 ready so you can send it as soon as you get your case number!

Well I received a response from CDJ - I'll have to say they are responding within a reasonable time but unfortunately I don't know any more now after 2 emails requesting information about WHAT EXACTLY they need to know from me... here is the response I received.

The Consular Officer needs to ask you information related to your husband’s visa application. As we informed you he needs to speak to you and your husband personally.

I guess I'll write a letter to the head of that office and see if I can get anymore info. I don't want to travel to CDJ at all but especially if I don't know what they need from me and IF I could talk personally to a US Consulate officer here in Dallas!!

Hey czmjacq,

That really stinks that they won't even specify what it is they need to ask you...It's just such a stressful situation for so many couples to go through to go there. We're debating right now whether my husband is going to go alone to the interview (well, accompanied by someone from his family) or whether I'll join him. Here's one interesting article I found about Mexico City taking on the processing of visas for siblings starting in October...It makes me wonder if there's still a chance they might start dispering the interviews out to other cities!

Hello,

For all cases are the same "packet3", but you will find some things in the list that dont apply to your case. I just wrote a "N/A" in those items.

Good Luck.

Marisol

Hi Marisol, my son case number start with CDJ and 10 numbers,I think its diferent from yours.

I was PR when my son born so CRBA not apply to him.

lets see if I get this right -in diferent cases its the same package #3. Or I still something missing

BRING YOUR ORIGINAL INTERVIEW LETTERS. Hi everyone. My husband got to the clinic today with a copy of our interview letter (we never got it in Mexico so my mom scanned the one that came to California and I printed that) Anyway, the clinic wouldn't accept it and he had to go to the consulate for an original. Not that big of a deal, but annoying. Will keep you posted on the rest....

Filed 130 in person in Mexico City June 2010

130 approved next day

No case number until July 21

Sent Packet 3 July 21

Packet 3 approval date Aug 4

Oct. 4 Interview- Approved!

Interesting -- that will be good information for me to have when I call the consulate here in Dallas and write my letter to the head of the Consulate in CDJ - not that it will help....but at least they seem to be admitting that it is dangerous to go there.

Thanks!!

Letter update: The letter he was missing was the medical appointment letter, which for some reason did not in fact come with appointment letter (but it is supposed to). The issue wasn't the copy, but the fact that we didn't have the letter. I didn;t understand this all this AM as he was just text messaging me. Sorry for the confusion. Either way, bring all your letters ;-) More on Monday....as for now, things feel weird here, and I think the best idea is staying between the hotel and the mall (if you end up here with extra time as we did, monday interview). La Quinta is super clean and really nice- pool, laundry (charge) and the shuttle is awesome!

What a pain -- but that's strange. My husband has a interview letter from the consulate but we never received a separate medical letter - not even here in the US.... so maybe that's something new? Glad you got it taken care of and the delay didn't affect you getting his medical report the same day. GOOD LUCK on Monday and STAY SAFE!!

BTW -- my husband said since you can't bring a cell phone to the interview, he brought some change and went back over to the medical clinic across from the consulate to call the hotel shuttle for pick up from his consulate appt. So bring some change for the phone -- a few pesos or so...
