I am an USC and in the process of applying for I-130 for my dad, who is living in Taiwan. I was born in Taiwan but was Malaysia citizen, as is my dad (my mom is Taiwanese). I just received "Request for Evidence", and it states that the copy of birth certificate I sent them is not sufficient, and they want a copy of birth registration also. I was born in a city hospital and always have had a birth certificate from the hospital and that is the one I sent them before. But now they want a birth registration on top of that (I have one from the Malaysia government but need to have it translated). I am just wondering if anybody had this happen to them before?
