We recived our NOA2 and after trying to track down our case at the NVC. I was told to read the paragraph below which states: the approved application had been forwarded to the consulate. not the NVC. That being said i was under the immpression that the NVC had to assign a case number? will this cause us problems? I called USCIS and they just told me if it was stated to be sent to the cousulate thats where it was sent. Any thoughts should we be worried?

Hey, I noticed that you guys filed the 129F Petition for a K-1 Visa; and it seems that you guys are expecting to be processed through the NVC, like a K-3 Visa where the beneficiary enters with a green card. However, wouldn't your petition go straight to the consulate for interview since it is for a K-1 (fiance) Visa, and your fiance would not enter with a green card? In other words, since you filed for a K-1 Visa, I think that you guys are on track.

Woops. I meant like the IR-1/CR-1 Visa, not K-3. (sorry, I tried to edit my repsonse, but couldn't) As a K-1, the process through the NVC would be much quicker. I agree, call the US Consulate in Teguc, and count your blessings.
