Yes, because you will both get all paper necessary and ok. With the H1B spouse Is not allowed to work.

Two years allready passed, 7-8 more to go.

Hi.. thanks for the info. Just one final question. My brother now mentioned that he submitted my application stating I am married, but did not provide a marriage certificate. Is this a source of concern? I.e. do I get the chance to submit the marriage certificate later?

Yes, you can email them anytime now or some time before your PD (priority date) become current, when they will start sending you forms and emails.

At this point I dont know wich is the best option, I have the same question, when my sister filled for me, I was married with 1 child, later another son came and I dont know when to inform them, because for me PD is very near (1 -3 months) and I'm affraid if I will inform them now maybe they will slow down the process; when they will send me the forms I will tell them to add my other son and so.

Hi Laur, when does the PD becomes current? Sorry, I am quite new on this topic.

Checking on visa bulletin website, they are processing Jan 2000 applicants now. I assume this is still a long way to go (7 years) in my case? My case is on the 'Initial Review' section when I logged onto USCIS website. Can we actually inform them after PD becomes current?
