No. She can not get you deported.

If someone actually followed up on one of her calls, she'd have to try and prove what she's saying... which by the sounds of it is impossible for her.

....when it hurts to look back and you're scared to look ahead LOOK beside you and I'll be there.....

There comes a point in your life when you realize who matters, who never did, who won't anymore... and who always will.

So, don't worry about people from your past, there's a reason why they didn't make it to your future.

Agree with the above.

I'm sorry you're going through this. Just remember that no matter what she says, your husband loves you and fought to get you here. He chose you over her and I have to say that's a pretty good feeling to be loved that much.

Your mother in law cannot have you deported just because she doesn't like you. As long as you and your husband have a legit relationship then opinion doesn't matter. I hope she realises how stupid and selfish she is making herself look.

Best of luck and happiness to both of you :D

Yes and no.

Depends why, and for how long I think. I know that they tend to understand schooling and how you're not living together during the semester, but I think they expect you to move back together during breaks etc.

I honestly don't know. I think it's dependent on your situation. Can you give us a little more info on your personal situation?

Out of respect for you, your husband should speak to his mother. He should explain to her that your marriage is the most important thing in both of your lives and that she will not break up your marriage. I kind of have the same problem. My parents are racist also and I have explained to them that I will not tolerate them or any other family member mistreating my fiancee. She is my future and I want her to be happy. Your husband should feel the same way. This situation needs to be corrected immediately before it escalates.

Good luck!

No. Only YOU can do that. If you have a legitimate relationship and can document that...no worries.

thanks guys

That can be a problem, yes. You need to document a legitimate relationship for the lifting of conditions. You can live apart and have a legitimate relationship, but it sure is a whole lot harder to document.

Racism is a terrible thing to deal with. When my step father died my mothers sister stated that she would not be at the funeral if I was there with any of my N-word friends. After making sure that my sisters could handle things I announced an emergency business trip and stayed home. However when my mother passed years ago I attended with a minister traveling with me and he was Nigerian. You have to chose your battles but stay true to yourself.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

Hello guys. I have bad news for her and good for you. She can call wherever or whenever place she wants, that doesn't matter. You have probes and evidences and anyway, the person who can denied or get back you to your origin country is your fiance or husband. He is the only one who just a letter can stop all the procedure, so your mother in law can do whatever she wants! you don't care and that is it. Thanks,

Eventually, maybe so, depending on the reason for the separation.

The only valid reason I've really heard for living apart is work related or school related.

I'd be very careful with that. Her calling on you is mean and vindictive. But, if they take any of it seriously and come check on you, I hope the reason for living seperately are very valid. Otherwise, it does hint at visa fraud.

Protect yourself.

Life's just a crazy ride on a run away train

You can't go back for what you've missed

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

You only get one trip

So make it good, make it last 'cause it all flies by so fast

You only get one trip
