I don't think that would be a problem. After all, the younger USC was the one who petitioned you. It may be a little different if you were the female USC who has an alien fiance 12 years your junior.

Have a fast and easy process!

I can only really see it being a problem if it goes against the cultural norms of the county where the beneficiary is from.

I'm sure you'll be fine

Is this right that they scrutinize those marraiges with age gaps?

I am 12 years older than my US boyfriend, we have been together 3 years.

Would that be a problem? hope not!!!!!! :)

I recommend you pm jm&mcs. She was in your situation and they gave her a very difficult time bringing her Peruvian husband to the United States.

It goes against the cultural norms of every country, I would have thought.

You only need to open up the local paper, 90% of marriages the woman is younger and by 1-3 years.

Makes you wonder really if all these marriages are "genuine" or if a good amount are influenced heavily by social norms.

It's not those with age gaps they need to scrutinise, if you folllow their logic!

If the marriage was fake, why would I pick a younger man, and why would his mother act as co-sponsor? It'd be a pretty hard thing to pull off, unlike paying/scamming someone my own age with an actual income 125% over poverty line to "help me out."

What is MORE genuine or determined than that which exists despite social norms?

Hi milly, by the way I'm in the same sitruation. US husband, 12 years my junior, he doesn't have a job, he's a 22 year old student on a gap year. We got married last week in Florida on my tourist visa.

We were going to go the UK route but his mother has persuaded me not to, and it hasn't been hard because I don't have a huge love affair with my own country and the thought right now of going back (tomorrow) to the cold, miserable, atrociously expensive place is giving me panic attacks.

Sorry to sound so negative, but I'm so miserable right now. I have a cat there, and it's basically all I have. I can bring that cat with me it seems without costing the earth.

This age gap thing is jusat one odf a huge bunch of worries for me, not least how the info is conflicting right now, tons of info on "K-3" which was made obsolete this month so half the data out there is bogus, yet I can't tell which.
