good plan...i ask tem to speak to my doberman

Our chihuahua Timmy is remarkably effective as well. He loves it when the mail comes or if anyone rings the doorbell. Anyone soliciting has to deal with a 2.5 pound dog barking and nipping at their heels, it's hilarious. :)

what about this one? do you guys get the gangster-looking teenagers who come to the door selling $5 kitchen sponges?

"hello, ma'am...my name is tyrone and i'm selling refrigerator magnets to help keep kids off drugs..."

how exactly, is there a connection?

when my husband first came to the united states these 2 nice looking guys came to the house. i was upstairs and heard the whole thing. he invited them to come back another day cuz he was busy. after they left i told him i cant beleive u invited them back. they are jahova witness and they will not stop bothering us. turns out they were moromons.

well they did come back and he invited them in and they had a nice little chat about islam and mormonism (sorry dont know what mormans call it.) well that was it...they never came back. they gave my husband their email address's so he could send them some info on islam. of course when he tried the address were not real ones.

I had the good fortune of having JW's visit my apartment while I was moving in. This was in Italy, so usually I would pretend I couldn't speak Italian in these sorts of circumstances, but I was caught totally off-guard with a big box in my arms. Well, they proceeded to help me move in! So then I felt like I owed them something, so I listened to them for a while and accepted their brochures.

They came back like 3 times afterwards to try to speak with me again, but I always had my non-Italian speaking roommate answer the door and say I wasn't home.

I have a friend back at home in NY that is quite exentric...kind of guy ya just can't help but love. Mind you, this guy is gaY, is a hairdresser, very gothic, but also manly...he had a pair of jehovah's witnesses come to his door, so JP being JP, invited them in. He sat them down in the living room and said "Before you begin, let me tell you about MY religion" and proceeded to set a satanic skull onto the coffee table!!! PMSL...he said he never seen anyones eyes bulge out of their sockets quite like this and said that when they got up to leave immediately, he never saw their feet touch ground that is how quick they moved. That is pure class...gosh I miss that guy lol...

 My husband had a ball with the mormons too. He had a rousing debate with them about the bible, and they haven't been back.

We also came across some JWs handing out watchtower at the bus stop. He gave them his email and asked them to stop by, but they never did. Maybe word has gotten round ;)

My husband always says that Mormons are exactly the sort of people you want to be spreading your religion. They ask politely if you'd like to talk, accept a "no" gracefully, are respectful of your beliefs, and enjoy talking to you about them.

sometimes some jehovah's amigos come by.. they just drop the watchtower magazine.. although Im not interested in their church, the magazine has some good articles sometimes.. different points of view..

Actually, Watchtower and Awake mags only present ONE viewpoint, the twisted and erroneous one of the JW's.

I think Pedroh means that Watchtower presents a point of view different from his own, and it is good to read other points of view.

I don't think I'd call the viewpoint "twisted," although I certainly disagree with it. "Twisted" would be the group of evangelical Christians that goes around giving out pamphlets that are about the risk of skin cancer from sun exposure, then when you open it, it says "BECAUSE IT'S GOING TO BE EVEN HOTTER WHEN YOU GET TO HELL!!"

si si.. I don't think their point of view is twisted.. weird it is.. but I don't consider them wrong.. actually they had a good one about God and employment, yeah I dont know how they made the connection, but it was very interesting.. and I don't find the 'muahaha y'all going to hell'.. I think the baptists are more like that.. anyway.. those guys haven't come lately.. I guess they are not liked in this neighborhood..
